BBL Hair Removal FAQs
Pre-Treatment
Avoid Sun Exposure:
- Avoid direct sun exposure, tanning beds, and self-tanning products for at least 2 weeks before treatment.
- Use a broad-spectrum sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher daily to protect treated areas.
Shave the Treatment Area:
- Shave the area 24-48 hours before the appointment. Avoid waxing, plucking, or threading for at least 4 weeks before treatment as the hair follicle must remain intact.
Stop Using Certain Products:
- Avoid retinoids, glycolic acids, salicylic acids, or other exfoliating products on the treatment area for 7 days before the session.
- Stop using antibiotics or photosensitizing medications that might increase light sensitivity. Consult your provider if you're unsure.
Avoid Blood Thinners:
If possible, refrain from taking aspirin, ibuprofen, or alcohol for 24-48 hours before treatment to minimize bruising risks.
Clean Skin:
- Ensure the treatment area is free from makeup, lotion, deodorant, or other products on the day of the procedure.

Don’t Exfoliate Immediately:
